Tetra Tech International Development (International Development Jobs – Tetra Tech) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for potentialsenior technical specialist positions on an anticipated USAID-funded program in Peru.
Position Description / Summary:
The anticipated 5-year USAID-funded initiative currently titled Peru Forest Finance Activity aims to promote private sector partnerships and mobilize investment in support of forest conservation and advancing climate change mitigation through avoided deforestation in the Peruvian Amazon region. The project will work collaboratively with the private sector, forest-dependent value chains and enterprises, the financial sector, Peruvian authorities and regulators, other investors in the forest and climate mitigation sectors, and forest dependent communities – especially Indigenous Peoples.
These would be full-time positions based in Peru for the full life of project (anticipated five years). For all positions, working knowledge of English, experience working in and managing multi-disciplinary teams, enthusiasm for frequent travel to field sites, knowledge of MS Office applications, and commitment to gender equity and social inclusion are required. * Experience on USAID or other donor-funded projects preferred but not required.
* Proven track record of collaborating with a diverse array of stakeholders (including governments, the private sector, local organizations), and integrating social inclusion with Indigenous, women, youth, and other vulnerable populations.
* Professional proficiency (written, oral) in English required.

Senior Technical Specialists for USAID Peru Forest Finance
Tetra Tech International Development ( International Development Jobs – Tetra Tech ) is accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for potential Senior Technical Specialists on a planned USAID-funded program in Peru. The position is contingent upon award of activity and USAID approval.
Job Description:
The USAID-funded, five-year, early-stage initiative in Peru, titled “Forest Finance,” seeks to catalyze private sector partnerships to increase investment (both private and public) to mitigate climate change and reduce deforestation in the Peruvian Amazon.
Forest Finance is designed to mobilize investments in the Peruvian Amazon to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, threats to forests and other natural resources; improve resilience to climate change; and support forest-friendly economic development, such as timber and non-timber forest product value chains, sustainable forest management and agroforestry, ecotourism, forest carbon/REDD+ projects, payments for ecosystem services, and/or other Amazon-based investment opportunities. The project will also promote private sector engagement (PSE) and investment mobilization strategies focused on improving gender equity and social inclusion (GESI) outcomes, and generating economic opportunities for women, indigenous peoples, and other vulnerable groups in the Peruvian Amazon.
Senior Technical Specialists are full-time positions in Peru for the anticipated five years of the project. All positions require a good knowledge of English, experience in working and managing multidisciplinary teams, enthusiasm for frequent travel to the field, knowledge of MS Office applications and a commitment to gender equality and social inclusion. * Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
