About the Role:

MERA is compiling a roster of highly skilled and experienced Evaluation Experts to support humanitarian and research projects globally. Selected experts will contribute to impactful projects by delivering comprehensive evaluations, generating actionable insights, and ensuring high-quality reporting.

This is a remote position, offering flexibility and opportunities to work on challenging assignments worldwide. Experts will be engaged on a project basis depending on organizational needs and individual qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Evaluation Expert, your responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting evaluations for humanitarian and development projects, ensuring adherence to international standards.
  • Designing and implementing Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks and methodologies.
  • Leading data collection and analysis processes, including qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Drafting high-quality reports, such as inception reports, progress evaluations, and final reports.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure evaluations are responsive to their needs and context.
  • Presenting findings to clients and other stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Requirements:

To be considered for inclusion in our roster, you should have:

  • A master’s degree or higher in social sciences, international development, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and research, particularly in humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Strong expertise in designing and applying M&E methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Proven experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of additional languages is an asset).
  • The ability to work effectively in remote and multicultural team settings.

Compensation:

  • Daily Rate: USD 200 (if selected for a project).
  • Package for Reports: For generating an inception report and final evaluation report, remuneration ranges between USD 1,500 to USD 3,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
