What we do…
SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association that, for over 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs: drinking, eating, shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and the promotion of hygiene, but also in the essential field of food security and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, SI teams – 3,200 people in total made up of expatriates, national employees, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.
The Supply Chain department of Solidarités International is at the heart of the smooth running of humanitarian operations, ensuring the efficient management of supplies, transport and stocks. Its main role is to ensure that field teams have the necessary goods and services in a timely manner, while respecting quality standards and budgetary constraints. The department’s objectives include optimizing logistics processes, reducing costs, and minimizing risks related to the management of goods flows. The challenges are multiple, particularly with regard to coordination between headquarters and country missions, the management of unforeseen events linked to often unstable contexts, and compliance with international regulations.
Description of the offer
Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, the Inventory, Transport and Import/Export Management Officer plays a central strategic and operational role in the management of Solidarités International’s logistics resources.
He/she is responsible for managing physical inventory at the Clichy headquarters as well as at partners, ensuring inventory accuracy and the availability of critical goods. In collaboration with the accounting and finance department, he/she ensures administrative monitoring of inventory, including accounting reconciliation, to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
The Inventory, Transport and Import/Export Management Officer develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize the efficiency of logistics processes, providing recommendations based on the analysis of data from field missions. As a strategic support, he/she advises and supports country teams in improving inventory management, transport and import/export processes, while actively participating in the development of team capacities on these subjects.
He/she also coordinates with external partners, such as carriers and customs authorities, to ensure the smooth running of logistics operations and compliance with international procedures. In the absence of the Supply Chain Manager, the Inventory, Transport and Import/Export Management Officer takes charge of the continuity of logistics resource management activities, thus ensuring uninterrupted support for Solidarités International’s humanitarian missions.
