GENERAL CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières is an international independent medical-humanitarian organization, which offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE AND JOB ENVIRONMENT
The position is located in the Fundraising Data Intelligence Unit Area of Doctors Without Borders, within the Fundraising Department (Private Fundraising), and reports hierarchically to the head of the unit.
The general objective of the position is to design the segmentation of databases, based on the parameters defined in the different Fundraising plans, leading and carrying out the corresponding analyses and proposing improvements if opportunities to improve results are identified. He/she also leads and coordinates the analyses and studies defined in the Research and Analysis Strategy to feed the entire Fundraising and Communication Department, helping to guide the Strategies for attracting, Loyalty and Engagement with Spanish society.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Design, validate and execute the journeys and marketing automation actions required by the Fundraising department, especially those of the different actions defined in the Loyalty Plans through the Cloud marketing tool. This activity includes:
- Design the necessary journey together with the functional team to ensure that it meets the needs, configure the data extentions and data filters, validate and execute the automations, configure the journeys, making proposals where possibilities for improvement are identified.
- Design and carry out the segmentations of the different actions defined in the Fundraising Plans through the Database analysis application. This activity includes:
- Propose, coordinate and carry out the data extraction and segmentation necessary for the actions of the Fundraising department with the data extraction and transformation applications Knime and Access, with an eye to identifying and proposing possible optimizations that improve the results of the action.
- Analyze the different campaigns and actions carried out and propose improvements to the FR functional teams based on the objectives they pursue. This activity includes:
- Propose and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each of the different actions and campaigns of the different services of the department, mainly in PowerBI. Investigating in depth the points where the results have not been as expected, to provide insights for improvement to those responsible for each action.
- Coordinate and carry out the analyses and research defined in MSF’s Social Base Research and Analysis Strategy. This activity includes:
- Extraction of the necessary data and segmentation of the database as well as carrying out analyses of the different profiles (members, donors, withdrawals, etc.), market studies, analysis of socio-economic behaviour, etc.
- Data extraction, cleaning and delivery for international studies.
- Lead and coordinate quantitative and/or qualitative research with research institutes to understand the motivations, level of satisfaction, different decision variables of their behavior, interests, etc. and their evolution in the social base, as well as in the general population. This activity includes:
- Propose the definition of the objectives of the studies, lead, coordinate and carry out the briefing of the study for the agency, the segmentation of the sample, the evaluation of the results, the proposal of the conclusions as well as their presentation.
- Define the system and process for creating new campaigns in SF, create them according to the needs of the different stakeholders in the department and ensure that all users use the Salsforce campaigns object correctly to guarantee the consistency of the model.
- Propose and carry out the monthly exploitation of the MSF Private Income Information System (Department Dashboard) and the main indicators and dashboards of the different services of the Fundraising Department.
- Participate in the identification and analysis of global market trends to detect opportunities for new fundraising strategies and relationships with current collaborators. Participate, with the Loyalty team, in annual planning and in the definition of the different loyalty strategies and plans.
- Provide support in the implementation of loyalty actions and the Annual Fundraising Campaign, as well as specific dossiers, at the request of the Service Manager or the Fundraising Director.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Degree in Economics / Business Administration and Management / Market Research and Techniques / Statistics or similar.
- Relevant experience in marketing-oriented data analysis.
- Experience in research and market studies.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows environment (high level of Excel required).
- Knowledge of computer tools related to the use of databases and CRM (knowledge of Salesforce and Marketing Cloud will be valued positively).
- Advanced knowledge of data extraction, manipulation and analysis tools (knowledge of Knime, Python and R will be valued positively).
- Knowledge of BI tools (PowerBI or similar).
- Languages: Spanish and English (desirable).
- Knowledge of programming languages, SQL or similar is valued positively.
- Knowledge of Big Data and AI will be valued positively.
- Experience in fundraising will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge, motivation and interest in the cooperation and humanitarian aid sector will be valued.
CONDITIONS
- Position based in any Doctors Without Borders office in Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Bilbao).
- Full-time.
- Permanent contract.
- Gross annual salary: €35,033 gross divided into 12 monthly payments plus secondary benefits, based on the MSF OCBA Compensation Policy.
- Incorporation: End of January.
